It's official: I’m writing an article for MSDN Magazine. It’s scheduled to appear in the June issue, which is an ASP.NET 2.0 special issue. My article is about how to design and implement Whidbey-like navigation controls today. The article is due to the editor on March 1, so that leaves me exactly 2 weeks to get it done. Why the two weeks? As much as I can figure, it’s because of timing. I sent the proposal to MSDN on Feb 1, saying that if I heard back from them soon, I could have the article done by the end of the month. However, MSDN took two weeks to get back to me (yesterday), and because they were already planning the special ASP.NET issue, they needed a completed article by March 1, thus leaving me two weeks. So because of that, I’m getting some help from my counterpart Steven DeWalt. I don’t know how much I’ll be able to post from now until we’re done with the article, but it should be fun.
