Tip: How to display an assembly in the Add Reference dialog box

You can find the tip in KB article 306149 (thanks Scott).

The reason for this? I wrongly assumed that by installing a .NET assembly into the GAC, the assembly would automatically appear in the .NET tab for Add References in VS.NET.

How about for Windows CE Class libraries?
