Wolfmother

Wednesday, September 20 2006

I have a new music drug, and it is called Wolfmother. What a great, great album. When I first heard their single "Woman" I remember thinking it sounded a lot like an old rockin Led Zeppelin song. And now that I've listened to the whole album a few times it's clear they've been heavily influenced by Zeppelin, Sabbath, and possibly Black Flag. It makes for a fantastic sound that I really dig. It simply rocks.

For those of you on my IM list that only ever see me listening to the Foo Fighters: no I haven't lost my fanboyness for the Foo. They're still my favorite and I'm still getting a Foo tattoo, but Wolfmother breaks up the constant Foo listening quite nicely.
