CodeKeep Upgrade and VS 2008 Add-in
Thursday, February 21 2008
Want to know why this blog has been a bit silent lately? Not because I don't have anything to say (you should know me better than that by now), but because I've been spending every spare second I have on a huge CodeKeep upgrade (details on the CodeKeep blog). This has caused many late nights recently, but it's been worth it. Seeing this come together and knowing how much better it is than previous versions is really satisfying. And like my wife said, I'm a geek. It's what I do.
In addition to the massive site upgrade, the other big news item is that the CodeKeep add-in for VS 2008 is now ready for mass consumption. Many people have been hounding me as to when it would arrive, so it feels good to finally get that out the door. For anyone running both VS 2005 and VS 2008, I'm happy to report that you can run the VS 2005 add-in and the VS 2008 add-in side-by-side with no problems (although I'm still tracking down a nasty parsing bug in the add-ins when you search and browse for snippets, but it doesn't happen too often).
So if you haven't used CodeKeep in awhile, now is the best time to get back into it. And if you've never used it (for shame!), it literally takes 10 seconds to register and then you're off to the races. Enjoy.
