Introducing Arcware

Monday, November 08 2004

Well, this post is officially 2 months past due. Actually, the whole thing is past due. When I went independent a couple months ago (still one of the best decisions I've made), I formed a single-person LLC named Arcware. You'd think that one of the first things I would do is get a web site up and running, but I kind of got busy with other stuff and it kept getting pushed behind.

Over the last couple weeks I've finally spent time on it and even got a professionally designed logo from ARS Logo Design (highly recommended). So without further ado, I give you www.arcware.net. Please email me your comments and feedback if you have any.

One of the things you might find interesting is that nowhere on the site will you find the words “we” or “our”. It's clear from the site that it's just me, and to be honest, I prefer it that way for now. When I originally wrote the content it had “we” and “our” all over it, but after stepping back and getting some feedback from a couple people, it sounded like Arcware was much bigger than one person, and I just didn't feel comfortable with that because it seemed very misleading. So I rewrote the content to reflect that it's really one person.

And as a heads up, I will be moving this blog to the Arcware site just as soon as I get a few more minutes of free time (but it will be soon, hopefully within a few days). I'm still debating whether or not to move the current content, replicate the current content, or just start fresh. I'll be sure to let you know.
