As the Heartland Developers Conference approaches next week (which BTW is sold out - again), I've been putting the finishing touches on my two talks: "Power Programming with Attributes" and "So You Want to Build a Visual Studio Add-in?". The attributes talk came together really well and I'm super excited to give that to a large audience. But the add-ins talk hasn't worked out nearly as well. As I kept going through the material I realized it's just not that great of a talk. Having written the CodeKeep add-in I figured I could fill an hour and half with useful information, and I can, but honestly, it's kind of a dry topic.
Knowing the conference is a week away, I hesitantly emailed conference organizer supreme Joe Olsen, who graciously allowed me to change my talk. So instead of the boring add-ins talk I'm now going to talk about NHibernate, for which I have plenty of material and will be a much more interesting talk. The official title is "Let NHibernate Be Your Data Layer" and you can see the abstract on the sessions page.
